Secondly, I’m not the only one on her trail; she’s also being tracked by the implacable and oh-so-sexy Inspector Stone.
Stone and I team up, and he shoves me into a realm where magic is real – a place where there are vampyrs and werewolves, dragons and trolls. And where my skills are more than just detecting lies…
Oh, and my dog? He’s a freaking hellhound who can manipulate the magical realms themselves.
I need to find the girl. I need to discover who killed my parents. And I need to find out more about the attractive but mysterious Zachary Stone…

An entertaining, easy to read, urban fantasy, filled with great characters, plenty of creatures, politcial intrigue, and magic!
Jinx is a wonderful character, stubborn and strong, decisive and direct, and yet even though she is in the dark about many things, she manages to keep her cool and plough onwards. Introduced to a world of magic, in which it seems she has a larger part to play than she ever anticipated, she seems to finally have met someone who could be her match, until he makes the fatal mistake of underestimating her.
Zachary Stone seems to good to be true, and even though there is the possibility of a relationship, if you can get past all his ex-flames, there is a long way to go, before Jinx will ever trust him again.
Lots of action and adventure, mixed with humour and great interactions. I loved Gato, in all his forms! Very well written. Definitely reading on!
