I just love anything Jocelynn Drake writes. She creates such amazing characters. Each is so lovable and strong, and yet are vulnerable in turn.
Marcus is the eldest of four brothers. He is the calm and controlled one, looking out for his brothers, protecting his mother, keeping the family businesses running. When he hires Ethan as a personal assistant, he experiences real love for the first time. Marcus hits you in all the feels; for a strong, scary vampire you just want to hug him!
Ethan is smart and adorable. A good match for Marcus, but Ethan is not all that he seems. He wants revenge against the vampires who killed his family. Only Marcus is not the vampire who murdered them, and Ethan slowly begins to realise that he might have made a serious mistake that will take the man he loves away from him.
Not only is this a beautiful love story, with quite a bit of steam, there is plenty of vampire politics and action to keep the story moving along. Although the brothers are very different there is no doubt of their love for each other, which is also heartwarming. I also love that music plays such an important part in the brothers’ lives. All the brothers have their own issues, and I look forward to learning more about them as they each have their own book!
