As far as mediums go, Ethan barely knows he is one. He just wants a place to knuckle down and finish his medical degree. But as soon as he moves in, he senses a presence. He tries to ignore it – but Elle is insistent…
The more Ethan uncovers about Elle, the more he suspects her death was no accident. Can he help her move on, or will greater forces intervene?

This is a character led story about a ghost, called Elle, who has been haunting the house where she died. She aimlessly floats around the house, unseen and unheard, bored except for the company of Dean, the only housemate who has stayed long enough for her to get to know him.
The story slowly evolves, and that is the problem, in that it is a slow development as a new housemate, Ethan, arrives who is more sensitive to spirits, and a gradual understanding between Elle and Ethan grows over the first 75% of the book.
It is well written, but nothing much happens except for Ethan’s growing suspicion that Elle’s death may not have been an accident.
The more Ethan learns about Elle, the more his suspicions grow, and Elle becomes more ‘present’ in his company. There is a touch of ‘Sixth Sense’ about this novel, in that certain people see ghosts, whereas others, like his housemate Dean, have no affinity at all.
If the characters hook you then keep reading as the ending is really emotional, but this is not an action packed tale. It is a gentle evolution of a relationship from ghost to friends and for Ethan, even more.
