The Assasins of Landria books are great of you are looking for a quick read. I always forget how short they are, because you get so engrossed and then abruptly you’re at the end.
This is a series, so the story is one long contiunous tale and although you get a resolution for the book, the trouble these two shadow assassins are in, just gets worse and worse.
Once you get passed the reminders of who’s who and why they are in the current situation, the story begins to flow a lot smoother, and Ridge and Rett are two strong characters that carry the story. It is your investment in them that keeps you going, this is definitley a character driven tale, with a bromance that won’t fail.
Aside from the well-rounded characters, Martin does a good job of piling on the peril and revealing a bit more about some of the other possible allies Ridge and Rett may be able to rely on.
All in all an enjoyable read, and I will be checking out the next installment.
