For centuries, two heroes stood between Tinsori Light and the vulnerable universe—Light Keepers Jen Sin yos’Phelium and Lorith of the Sanderat.
Just when it seemed that they—merely human—must fail, Tinsori Light, enfeebled by aged systems, succumbed to the stress of a unique spatial event—and died, leaving the station a shell.
Luckily, the light keepers have back-up. A mismatched team of arcane specialists are on-station, working nonstop to preserve the Light, build trustworthy systems, and open the refurbished station for business.
In fact, ships are already incoming, and it becomes a matter of urgency to sort friend from foe. In particular, the Lyre Institute wishes to acquire Tinsori Light, and will do anything, spend anyone, to achieve that goal.

Liaden series books are an auto buy for me and Salvage Right did not disappoint. The Liaden universe grows with every installment and each time I fall in love with their characters I think this is it, they are my favourite, and then they create more amazing ones.
I first started the adventure with Shan and Priscilla, and then Val Con and Miri, so they were always my favouries, but then came Theo, and Anthora and Ren Zel, Pat Rin, Syl Vor, Padi, and now Jen Sin.
Theo saying Jen Sin is worn out is an understatement and your heart aches for him and what he has been through, and yet he is the best of them and battles all odds to protect everyone but himself.
Jen Sin is the Tinsori Light Keeper and although he believes the old world light has corrupted him, he is determined to do his duty and protect the lives of those on his station. Clan Korval has claimed the space station and is now repairing it, bringing many more souls on board and into peril.
This novel brings together many favourite characters and the story evolves with elegance and balance, and although Melant’i rules and life is complex, you want to live in this world beside them and wish that you were part of Clan Korval.
