An enjoyable dragon shifter paranormal romance that reaches a satisfying Happy Ever After (HEA).
Reive is battling a Gargoyle poison which is turning him and his dragon to stone. Rumours of a mythical book offers the possibility of a cure and the slimmest of chances for him survive. Only he is running out of time.
Arriving at the small town library with a specialist collection about gargoyles is his last hope. When Reive and the Librarian, Jess, are attacked, he realises someone else is after the knowledge about gargoyles as well.
Jess, has her own secrets, and her own reasons for helping Reive try and find the other half of the book.
I didn’t realise this story was the HEA for Reive who is a character in another series, but it doesn’t detract from the story. This is a complete story and I am glad I met him in this book.
Lovely characters you can truly root for. A nice change to meet protective gargoyle shifters. Love the HEA even if it is a little predictable. An easy enjoyable read.
