The Wingswept Sky is the first book in the Dragons of Amontyr cozy fantasy series. It features a neurodivergent main character, found family, and of course, dragons delivering the post.

Loved it! If you enjoy cozy fantasy with lots of dragons and riders delivering the port and parcels, then you will love this. This is a low stakes tale of finding your place in the world, surrounding yourself with people who love you for who you are, and the amazing bond between dragon and rider. It really reminds me of the wonderful dragons in the world of Pern, and I want the same bond Zapyros and Kayleigh have.
Stone has created a wonderful world where dragons and humans co-exist. In this book we focus on the messenger Guild and the story of Kayleigh, a sympathetically written neurodivergent character and Zapyros, a wardancer dragon bred for battle and out of place in the courier post. Kayleigh wanted to be a courier, but when Zapyros chooses her, she soon learns that flying is much better than pounding the dirt. Facing challenges together, Kayleigh and Zapyros prove that as a team, they can overcome anything.
A really enjoyable fantasy story. One that I will certainly revisit and read again. I’m looking forward to reading the other tales set in the same world.
