An action packed and well narrated story. When Kharma and Chaos come to visit you know someone is going to have pick up the pieces. Supported by a cast of excellent characters, Simon and Monty have to face down a range of monsters and supernatural beings, while circumventing the whims of gods and staying alive.
Simon and Monty are wonderful characters, mysterious enough to draw you in, and many hints at hidden depths in both characters, keep you hooked. There is enough unknown about Simon, as to why he draws the attention of every supernatural being, for us to wonder who he really is. Add a lovely puppy call Peaches, and what more do you need?
I listened to the audiobook, and it was easy to follow, and the narrator offered a range of different voices that fit the characters well.
