Legally, we haven’t been together long enough for me to tell him I’m not human, and it’s getting harder and harder to keep this secret. To keep part of myself from him… to lie. But what if he learns the truth—a truth that will shatter the core of his beliefs—and can’t handle it?

I love this world that Louisa has created, from the dragons to shifters to elves and the humans who get to meet them. The characters are all so lovable, and its exciting to now learn more about the elves, though Caolan will always be my favourite elf!
The King of the Elves, Radulfr, having lived though the almost extermination of his whole species, and the relocation to Earth, has a chance at his own happy ever after. The problem is that he’s met a human who doesn’t know about the elves, and there are rules govering how and when you can share.
Being the king, also brings challenges when you are trying to date, as if dating itself itsn’t hard enough on its own, Radulfr has to work around his position and responsibiities as well.
Meeting Jared, a human learning how to use magic, Radulfr has his chance for his own HEA. Of course, it’s not going to be easy, but Jared is worth it. Louisa creates such wonderful characters, that you know it’s going to be a great read.
A lovely romace, with some cameo’s from the other species. It’s really nice to delve into the lives of the elves for a change.
