Next goal is colour artwork for one of our authors, Eileen Mueller’s Javelina’s Dragon.

Javelina’s Dragon is a Riders of Fire Dragon Masters side story about a character one of Eileen’s readers helped create. When Javelina, a circus acrobat, meets Xarian, the dragon rider sent to investigate her ex-lover’s murder, Javelina’s life is turned upside-down—and not just on the trapeze.

Meet the Sentinals: Serillion

It’s time to find out more about the characters in the epic fantasy Sentinal series. Who do you want to know more about?

Going back three thousand years means we get a chance to delve into who the Sentinals really are, where they came from, and how they became Sentinals in the first place.

The Sentinals were not always silver-eyed, with distinctive names and appearance, representing the absent Lady Leyandrii. They were ordinary people with hopes and dreams.

Up next is Serillion What do we know about him from the Sentinal series?

Serillion is one of five Sentinals woken in Greens Watch. Blond-haired and slender, Serillion hails from Marchwood. He is close friends with Birlerion and Tagerill. They first met at the Rangers Academy and graduated together. Quiet and bookish, Serillion loves to research and was often found in the Chapterhouse. He helped Guerlaire with catologuing his finds. He is horrified by the loss of the original Chapterhouse and all of Guerlaire’s records and samples.

As we’re funded, I thought I’d introduce you to my short story, Secret Alliance.

I wrote a short story based in a brand new epic fantasy world. A world I will be writing more in, I just can’t decide whether to write the before or after to my short story! Let me know in the comments if you have a preference.

Secret Alliance is set in a world where dragons are in decline, and there is only one queen dragon, Arithvengar, remaining. She has lost her bonded rider and is grieving, no one can reason with her, so as a last resort Brachendar, the wing commander of the King’s Flight, goes off in search of the one person who may be able to reach her. The only problem is Renderen doesn’t want to be found, and he certainly doesn’t want to return to a place he fled.

Although… maybe three years of peace is enough. It might even be starting to get… boring. In fact, an adolescent dragon crash-landing on my landlord’s shed is just the kind of excitement I need—especially when he brings his species leader to my door.
Brandt. Wing leader of all dragons, suave, sexy, and… slightly unhinged. It doesn’t take much for him to convince me to give up my solitude and spend some time getting to know him. It’s hard to care about the future when I’ve got a dragon of my own to “play” with. Naked dragon rides for the win, right?

But Brandt’s the leader of his people, on call for them all the time, and I’ve left that part of my life behind me. Plus my father insists I should fulfil my duty to the family by getting a nine-to-five job and “marrying well.” That’s not what I want, but riding herd on a group of beings who fly, breathe fire, and could literally crush me beneath their feet would be a huge challenge, especially since Brandt’s kind of loose with rules.
